bind is a reflection of the expectations of conformity, the social gravity and claustrophobia that binds us in place which becomes a heavy caress. There’s a gentle comfort and security from being tightly tucked in, immobilized. A loss of vulnerability, individuality but gain of place, imposed belonging. A designated spot on the shelf that we cannot meander from and remains when we are gone.
